THE JOY OF DANCE APPROACH
Joy of Dance was founded to bring quality early childhood dance classes to the diverse community of Madrid. All our classes are taught in English with a primary focus on movement development while strengthening our students’ English. We pride ourselves on the professionalism and care that we bring to both our customer service and to the needs of our students. OUR CLASSES
Joy of Dance classes are developed with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, and creative needs of each age group. Classes integrate aspects of several early childhood educational methods such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, RIE, and what Founder/Director Joy Voelker refers to as “The Mr. Rogers Approach.” The movement material in class draw inspiration from creative movement, ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, music, improvisation, and composition using all genres of music. This is what we at Joy of Dance call Dance Exploration. All this purposeful learning is delivered in a package of smiles and laughter, surprises and songs. Learning happens when children are exploring and having fun!
